Immersive Installation ∙ Moving Image ∙ Sound ∙ Textiles ∙ Silkscreen ∙ Projection

This immersive installation explores my relationship with my great grandmother, Umi/أمي, a woman I never met yet feel connected to through fragments left behind. Through moving image, sound, and soft sculpture, the work creates a sensory presence around her absence, bringing together traces of her life with my own imagination of who she was. Using photographs, sound, and a silkscreen pattern derived from her clothing, the installation reflects on the space between what can be known and what must be felt, imagined, and remembered.
