Project Overview
Modura is a contemporary clothing brand looking to develop a web presence. They would like a brand refresh and an e commerce app where consumers can make purchases.
Role: UI Design
Completed as a student case study for DesignLab’s UX Foundations.
This project began with logo designs. These are early explorations to capture a chic, yet, approachable feeling.
Digitizing logo designs, I played with hard and rounder edges.
I explored complementary colors for this scheme. Yellow is friendly as the brand color and pairing it with these neutrals + highlight colors gives the brand a sophisticated feeling.
Style tile. Avenir was chosen as the primary font as it is clean and minimal.
Reflections
This project taught me so much about UI and visual design, and really allowed me to put design elements, such as hierarchy, into practice. Throughout this project, I practiced ideating through logo designs, and produced iconography. I was able to see how font, color, and icons come together and how subtle changes can really impact the overall mood of a brand.
For next steps, I would incorporate more screens such as the checkout pages, the shopping bag and the saved items.
